Kelly has a good point; now days, the internet allows information to be distributed over long distances through online newspapers, radio, and television. Many people access news, write emails, and surf the web to get necessary information from anywhere at any time using Internet. Internet saves time for people who have long commutes to work or have busy and hectic family schedules. People like me that use the internet for entertainment such as TV and Radio are motivated by the convenience not being tied to a financial obligation to the cable companies. Also, the freedom of not being tied to specific programming schedules is a plus for those that prefer the internet for their informative and entertainment needs. Internet is a social media that brings cultures together and allows for a bridge between different communities which would likely never interact due to the distances between them. For instance, being able to take a tour of a foreign country could dispel myths about the people or landscape and allow for a greater appreciation which would otherwise not occur.
Now days, Internet is no longer considered a luxury; it is now a necessity. People all around the world rely on Internet to get important information and to amuse themselves during their leisure time. After a long work day and commute most people want to relax and unwind by watching TV, or by surfing on internet, or listening to the radio. Most people’s evening always includes ample computer time with a healthy dose of web surfing, chat rooms, blogs, listening to pod casts from around the world, video games, and even TV from different countries. Now days, thanks to the Internet, after few minutes they can be up to date on local, domestic, and foreign news and be entertained without leaving their house.
